Bush did McCain no favors tonight.....
..and I'm speaking as objectively as a I can.

That speech might be the one thing in the universe that had both netroots and freepers cringing.

Bush's approval rating will be below 15% in a week.

2. They handed Obama a wonderful meme
Bush blames it all on the people. Bush and McCain are the same.

My God, what a gift.

4. This is all about McCain
The strategy here is to hand the solution to McCain.

Obama is walking into a trap tomorrow.
High Crimes.

12. It was an anemic speech
I expected him to go all fire and brimstone, but he didn't. My more level headed partner brought me back to earth by reminding me that dems control the congress, and Bush needs their cooperation or he gets nothing accomplished for his fat cat Wall Street pals.

14. CNN guy just made a good point:
Americans blame the party in the WH when the economy goes bad and tonight Bush reminded everyone that the party in the WH right now are the republicans. This does not help McCain.
