I walked the streets for Obama today...

I was fed up with the bad news about the banks and the markets...I watched CNBC for few hours, stunned at all the bad the news, and how bad I KNOW this is going to be for our country!

At around noon, I decided I needed to take things into my own hands, do something myself. I drove to the local Obama office, told them I need to do something to help Barack Obama win this thing!

I asked for and they gave me a stack of voter registration forms...I drove to the nearest shopping center, parked my car, wearing my Obama for President T-shirt, and started walking up to people asking if they are registered to vote!!!

I have never ever done something like this before! People were all ears :)

When things got slow in one parking lot, I drove to another!

I signed up 11 new voters, additional 5 people who did not have the time took the form after I told them what to do and where to mail it...etc. 3 more people did a change of address with me. All will be voting Obama for sure.

One lady said she does not know who to vote for, I spoke to her for about 20 minutes, told her why I decided to do what I am doing, what it means to all of us, then finally I asked her if she was better off now than she was 4 years ago or 8 eight ago? Are you happy with $4.00 gas...etc.?

She said NO! and I moved to close the deal, she said I am right, and for sure she can't vote McCain! I said you really have one choice left, she smiled and agreed.

Tomorrow morning, I plan to do the same, I will move from shopping center to shopping center until I can't walk anymore.

Please do the same if you can, it was easy and I fully enjoyed, and most importantly:

People newly registered should make sure to bring picture ID with them when they go to vote, and also to heed everything else mentioned in this post.
And thanks for what you're doing! I've been signing people up and also making calls, and I've never done anything like this before either.

7. Two hours phone banking today...two more coming up

Called the over 70's today ( even a bunch of over 90's) Called mostly no party and independents. Breaking 4 to 1 at least for Obama.
Sending out a bunch of "vote by mail" requests. I love my people.
