I get the sense that the Repubs are getting very very nervous
They know this financial crisis is a killer issue for Republicans. Plus the Palin shine is rapidly dimming. And I think they are truly worried about McCain's mental state. He is acting weirder and weirder by the day. The comments by George Will yesterday attest to that. I also listened a bit today to some of "con-talk" radio and they sound troubled. They are desperately trying to turn the blame of this economic crisis on the Dems -- but it just ain't working.

1. I've noticed it on the wingnut blogs too
I frequent a couple of them, and they are really scrambling to blame anyone but themselves for the mess they put us in. Lot of crickets over there, particularly at Townhall.

2. The only problem is when a mad dog is cornered it usually attacks.
Expect a major attack campaign coming soon which will be full of lies I am sure.

7. Agreed. They will try all their dirty tricks.
But I am sure the Obama campaign will be ready for it.

8. The GOP picked on the wrong Dem
Only they don't know it yet. Obama's a veteran of not only Chicago politics, but also the politics of pickup basketball, and any baller knows you athletic skills don't quite cut in on the blacktop; you have to have the mental toughness to withstand the incessant trash talk that opponents use to try to rattle you.

3. I know I shouldn't have
but I flicked over to F** News for 10 seconds and saw Cavuto and Malkin blasting Hank Paulson's bailout.

(I didn't watch any further as it's not good for my blood pressure).
