How will the FL hurricanes affect the Election in November?
Do you think they will have everything up and running or will they end up using the hurricane damage as an excuse for not being clear on where to vote and registration info, etc.? I am kind of worried about that scenario, especially if FL gets hit again by Frances this week.

1. I'll take your question differently
If Jeb is still viewed as a hero for helping survive the storm, Bush gets Florida.

However, if the damage claims are unmet by the gov't. and reimbursement of funds is slow, hello 27 Evs for Kerry.

I think Charlie and other storms could have quite an effect--but it is too soon to tell.

2. Its very bad
A hurricane on Nov 2 will blow the ballots all over the place.

3. I think right now we are just hoping the state is still here when Frances
has come and gone...

And you know the answer to that. They'll use any excuse they can drum up. Look for serious poll confusion in areas where there are concetrations of Dems.

4. It's a difficult call, but FL will be hit
I work in Boca and we're all getting ready (live in Sunrise, further inland)

Frances will hit Florida-- it's just a matter of where. Right now it's the Treasure coast-- Indian River county, etc.

We're still praying that the high pressure zone weakens and allows Frances to pushed into the Atlantic-- that doesn't look probable now.

As for the election-- we'll see-- nice to see LePore ousted and Castor in for the Dems!
