Now we're talking trillions? I want to know if anyone responsible for this mess
with the market be punished and/or banned from ever working in finance ever again? Someone's head should roll and I don't mean getting fired and handed their perks on the way out the door.

Bin Laden hoped he could take us down through our wealth. I'll bet he's sitting in some cave just laughing his head off at our stupidity.

I truly resent being in this position because of the greed of these vultures. They play their silly games, get in trouble and expect us to bail them out.

Enough!

1. I think it's all part of a plan to destroy government itself.

9. That's right, heard it referred to as 'starving the beast' idea being entitlements...
i.e. universal health care, education, unemployment insurance, living wage, social security, etc, are counter to republican thought (they feeling they're the only ones entitled to anything) and take up too much money they'd rather see siphoned into the coffers of themselves and their cronies enter junk bonds junk this junk that but all skewed, sleazy unregulated money instruments falling from the skies on golden parachutes

12. In addition to deregulation, outsourcing, privatization, trashing the electoral process, etc.
The overall goal is to render all governments moot and replace them with a privately-owned power structure.

2. Republicans should have their right to vote stripped from them.
Fucking disaster.

The S&L Crisis had most of the same root causes under a president/vp of the same name.

5. This looks like it will be much bigger than the S&L disaster.
At the very least the American people need to be paid back for all the risk and debt we are taking on as a result of us bailing out all of these corporate failures.

It's absolutely infuriating.

10. In the last years of Reagan's 2nd term it is very likely that Poppy
was in charge due to Reagan's dementia. That likelihood may possibly be ameliorated by the fact that Nancy had her own faction in the WH that despised Poppy.

3. "Head should roll" needs to be literal. That's a good place to start.
Capital punishment for white collar crime. Put those that ruin our communities on trial and ultimately, if found guilty, to death. I'm sick of legalized organized crime bosses raping us without any sort of retribution. Maybe if a few of them were put down, their peers would think twice before engaging in the behaviors that brought us this, the latest criminal conspiracy of the wealthy.

I'm generally anti-death penalty, but my position is shifting.
