I hope Obama takes some days off next week to prepare for the debate
I think he should take a couple days off. I mean that first debate is going to be the deal breaker. It is on the topic that is supposed to be McCain's strength. Obama has to knock it out of the park because many people will just start paying attention at that point. Once they make their decision after seeing him it will be hard to change that first impression. He needs to be well rested that day. I'm so nervous. I don't think I will be able to watch the debate live. I will have to wait and see what the posts are like on DU before I watch it. LOL

7. Well, he campaigned all day before he went to his last debate with Hillary
exhausted. Then he had those pit bulls attack him. The media is awful and can't be trusted. That is why I want him relaxed and rested so he can kick McCain's ass!

3. He'll be fine.
He's been preparing since last September. He knows this shit backwards and forwards by now. It's McCain who'd better prepare; he apparently doesn't know shit.

4. Obama is in good physical and MENTAL health, McCain should take the rest of his career off.

5. Why?
McCain has nothing and will make at least SEVEN major gaffes during the debates.

My prediction has been spoken.

6. Correct me if I'm wrong, but didn't Obama usually take a day off to prepare for primary debates?
I see no reason why he wouldn't do that again now, or study even harder then before.

Too bad the first debate isn't on the economy, then Obama could ask everyone if they're better off now then they were 8 years ago before Bush pushed through much of John McCain's economic policies.

10. From what I heard he did not take off before his last debate with Hillary and that
was a disaster. Part of it was not his fault (total @ssholes jumping on him)but you could clearly tell he was tired too.

12. I hope he emulates Kerry's clear, concise, compelling style in the first debate vs. Bush in 2004
Say it, make it brief and memorable, then shut up and let it reverberate.

13. I hope he doesn't, he and Joe are so effecitive when they're out ther every day like that...
It really helps to have him hitting hard daily like that and drawing those massive crowds. He should not have to prepare too much for the debates, nor should Joe. If you know your shit, there is no practicing to be done. You just speak what you know. Gore kicked ass in the debates, but the media trashed him... so it really comes down to personality and zingers. Obama's got both, plus the knowledge part. He'll be fine.

14. Kerry trained himself, with help, to be that succinct. I hope Obama trains with tight statements.
When he's successful at foreign policy, prescient, list them all, without "ahm."
