DU - Be Prepared When Media Starts Spreading The Newest Distraction TP - Townhall Meetings
This is like the freakin 9/11-style commission. McCain has been excusing his lying and incoherence by raising the irrelevant subject of townhall meetings. He is trying to get the MSM to stop covering the economy and McCain's lack of substance on this issue, and to focus on another BS make believe issue. Before it was lipstick, now its townhall meetings. Who knows what is next?

We should call the MSM on this when they start pedaling this GOP talking point. Is McCain and the MSM seriously saying that its okay for McCain not discuss any details unless we yield to silly demands for townhall meetings? Does he want a pillow, too, and a pacifier? What is keeping McCain/Palin from actually talking to the media?

Yet, YOU KNOW, that the MSM will start repeating this BS like gospel in an effort to obscure the meltdown in the economy.

THE LACK OF TOWNHALL MEETINGS IS NOT CAUSING AN ECONOMIC CRISIS. ITS THE LACK OF LEADERSHIP BY THE REPUBLICAN PRESIDENT, GEORGE BUSH, WHOSE POLICIES MCCAIN WILL CONTINUE.

Neither townhall meetings or 9/11-style meetings are going to fix the problem. Instead, we need both regulations AND REGULATORS WHO ARE WILLING TO ENFORCE THE LAW.

1. Having Obama on stage is the only way he McCain could actually be seen by a really
large audience and that audience would not be in his camp.

2. Also, As The Primaries Show, Too Many Debates Dilutes The Message
And causes folks to focus on BS talking points. I'd rather have three debates that everyone watches, rather than a patchwork of multiple meetings, that leads to gotcha type questions, because all the "real questions" have already been asked and answered.
