20. It was daddy, not the teacher, before Cable changed it so it wouldn't
offend family audiences. Saw it in original showing of Vacation in movie theatres.

I heard something about that's why it's so expensive, because people use it to cut cocaine, but then why would the companies charge more just because of that when they could lower the price and corner the market?

6. I just heard excerpts today on the radio and it struck me they are
just what the Repugs wanted them to be; superfluous. Fluff. Sure, they are college educated, well-traveled, attractive gals. But, they act like naive teenagers still. Exactly how the Repugs want them to be. You shouldn't take a woman seriously, after all, until she is older. :eyes: :puke:

7. Another thing they said was...
That George and Laura's pet name for each other is "Bushy".

Not only stuff like that, but their jokes as well as the delivery (i.e. very bad comedic timing) wouldn't even have made the cut for a typical Hee Haw episode.

11. i watched and absolutely was transfixed
like when you see a car wreck on the highway and cannot turn away. It was shocking, and I am not even talking about what they said. Their attitude was snotty, they were vapid, blank, smarmy, condescending and pathetic. And I am probably being too kind. I am still in disbelief that *'s handlers let them on stage.

Lots of breathless "tee hee"-ing. I guess this is what 4 years' tuition at UT and Yale will get you these days, if you're a "legacy" admit.

21. wow
Thanks for the link (sort of). That's the first time I've seen it, and it's every bit as vapid as I'd expected after reading the threads about it.

What a stark contrast between these two nitwits and the Kerry daughters and the Heinz sons. I can't believe anyone thought it was a good idea politically to parade them before the country - score a point for our side, I guess.

It was truly hideous, and gave the whole thing a cartoonish, almost camp feel to it.
