4. Gail King just said on Access Hollywood or ET (one of those type shows)
that Palin was not snubbed - that Oprah was never approached about Palin being on the show so there was no snubbing involved.

7. That contradicts the stories that came out a week or two ago...
...this one being from the L.A. Times. Not to say that Gail King is wrong...just that she's got a story that differs from the one that was widely reported.

Obama-backer Oprah says no Sarah Palin on her TV show

http://latimesblogs.latimes.com/washington/2008/09/sarah-palin-opr.html

Oprah Winfrey, the billionaire TV talk-show diva who is supporting the Democratic presidential nominee, says she will Oprah Winfrey supports Barack Obama for the presidency and campaigned for him but now prohibits the Republican female vice president Governor Sarah Palin of Alaska from being on her widely-watched TV shownot allow the Republican vice presidential nominee Sarah Palin on her daily show, which is widely viewed by women.

The 44-year-old Palin is the first female nominee on a Republican presidential ticket in the party's 164-year history, though she is little-known outside Alaska, where she was elected a reform governor in 2006.

Palin, a former high school basketball star and beauty pageant contestant, is the mother of five, an outdoorswoman and part owner in her husband Todd's commercial fishing business.

This past year Oprah endorsed Barack Obama for president. It was the first time she became publicly involved in politics.

Oprah emceed numerous rallies for the freshman Democrat senator in key caucus and primary states, drawing large crowds, donations, media coverage and many new volunteers. She also hosted a lucrative fundraiser at one of her homes, near Santa Barbara. But she has so many we can't count 'em.

9. still, it doesn't say that the McCain campaign approached Oprah about a Palin appearance.
Why should Palin go on Oprah just because she's a woman? Why aren't people pissed that MCCAIN hasn't been on Oprah? It's just more false outrage and faux feminism from the Repukes.

25. What is with this word "Prohibits"?
sounds a little Harsh, doesn't it? Like Prohibiting School Prayer? Keeping the trash out - Prohibiting someone?

How about Not INVITING HER on the show?

Not returning her call? If she made a call, which that sounds about right for the right wing, to claim that they were shot down when they never asked..

Fuck Palin Oprah, it's YOUR SHOW in case they hadn't noticed.. Palin can't go leech off The Comedian Limbaugh?

17. It's pretty bad when you get the truth from Access Hollywood
instead of the actual news programs. The Corporate Media just likes to make controversy where there is none. I guess it's good for the advertisers!

11. Oprah said no to all candidates, not just Palin. It's another smear tactic.
No candidates will appear between now and the election, is what I heard over the weekend on the news.

20. I guess she could diffuse this, have all 4 on for a short segment, AND...
...take that time in the limelight to point out that she never said no to Palin, she said no to all of them!

And that this was all a smear.

26. Oprah can't make an exception now for Sarah. She gave her word that because she is a declared Obama
supporter she did not think it was right to use her show to highlight any of the candidates, including Obama. She has not had Obama on since he declared his candidacy. It is a principled stand, something those Republican Palin bots apparently know nothing about.

and see if their candidates' lives even compare.

The answer is NO.
