More of the same? No, it will likely be worse than Bush.

The more I read about McCain and Palin I am convinced they will be worse than Bush. Not only will they continue the failed war in Iraq, they’ll wrecklessly wave their rifles at Russia and Iran and before we can blink, it will be World War III - Armageddon here we come.

But let’s “pray to God” for a second and stretch our imaginations that McCain and Palin are not war-mongers at all, just your average extreme right-wing conservative Republican. What would their administration be like?

McCain would likely be forthright with the press and the American people but Palin would have her own secretive agenda, plotting for power to the presidency, planning which of her high-school chums would become Secretary of State.

McCain would never approve of National Health Insurance, no matter how much it would save lives and save America’s treasure, because it is against his free market ideology (no matter how much it doesn’t work for certain things).

Palin would see to it that Roe v. Wade was overturned in the Supreme Court and would likely ease any gun control laws we now have.

McCain would loosen federal regulations so more corporations would continue to make record profits while taking advantage of the average guy.

Both would drag their feet on renewable energy, continue with the mantra “Drill baby drill” and they’ll ignore global warming.

McCain’s economic plan to end the recession would likely be to privatize the VA, Social Security and Medicare, and of course continue those tax cuts for the rich.

Both would turn the clock back on America because they pride themselves in being mavericks and progeny of the Old West.
