Todd Palin Subponea decided by conservative moose huting Republican from WASILLA,

Let's just get the facts - sounds more reform minded than Palin

ANCHORAGE, Alaska (AP) - The crucial vote to subpoena Gov. Sarah Palin's husband was cast by a moose-hunting Republican from her own hometown.

Sen. Charlie Huggins, the vice chairman of the Alaska Legislature's Senate Judiciary Committee, wore camouflage pants to Friday's hearing, but they didn't help him blend in among the coats, ties and dress shirts of other lawmakers and national news correspondents.

As the other two Republicans and the two Democrats on the panel argued over the ramifications of issuing subpoenas to Todd Palin and a dozen other people, Huggins held his cards, as well as his fire. When he finally spoke, he made clear - in folksy, plainspoken words - that he'd had enough of the political maneuvering.

Not to mention the suggestion of his Republican colleague Sen. Gene Therriault that the investigation had been hijacked by supporters of Democratic presidential candidate Barack Obama.

"I do not support Sen. Obama," the anti-abortion conservative thundered at the start of his remarks.

He went on to make an impassioned plea for government transparency and honesty in this "new era" of Alaska politics. A number of lawmakers, including U.S. Sen. Ted Stevens, have been indicted or convicted in a wide-ranging federal corruption probe.

"I see all this duck-foot action under the water," he said, referring to back-room discussions about the investigation. "Let's just get the facts on the table. The sooner the better."

The final vote was 3-2. The House Judiciary Committee also approved the subpoenas on an advisory v

that Republicans will reform Washington.

I think it's just one small portion of an overall marketing campaign to put lipstick on a pig (the Republican Party).

2. When you think about it, it may all come down to Palin having
Reaped what she SOWED.. The WIND of Republicans she fucked over on the way up her personal ladder, wearing high heels and stepping on the hands of every REPUBLICAN all the way up.

What would be more ironic than to have the very people she screwed bringing about "REFORM" - Reforming HER ASS in Public, and killing her chances of getting anywhere NEAR the White House, maybe bringing down the whole Republican NeoCon adventure in one fell swoop.

This fellow may actually be of the Old Republican Ilk, the kind that used to come to family picnics when I was a kid, when everyone had a good time, regardless of their political party, good natured jibes cast at each other, golfing Dems and Republicans, tossing each other a beer, with NO HATE or Animosity..

You know there was a time when Conservatives actually stood for something other than Goose-stepping to Bush's tune, and Rubber Stamping everything Cheney or Rove came up with.

The Republican party DOES need Reform - they need to kick Bush co to the fucking CURB, and take their party back from the Fundies and the NeoCon TRASH who wipe their asses with the Constitution.

Wouldn't it be Funny, if indeed Palin and McCain REFORMED Washington DC, by being TAKEN DOWN by their own Party, the Sane Wing of it :)

I'm sure a lot of people that she stepped on along the way are sharpening their knives right now.

12. She's an opportunist. If there were no FBI investigation, she'd still be in there with
with Ted Stevens and all the other corrupted Republicans. As you say, she back-stabbed her way to Alaska's top job. I can imagine there are some mighty angry people up there just waiting to strike when the moment presents itself.

She may have been successful bullying her way thus far, but she has entered the big leagues, it's just a matter of time before someone bites back. If they haven't already.

just like she did. She didn't like her mayoral job, so she decided to go for the governor's spot.

Latent conscience, I guess.... or maybe it's the ultimate failure of every Pyramid Scheme. Eventually, all of the
worst float to the top and they begin preying on each other.

Tolstoy, was it he who opined that as the Capitolists age the Younger ones come to EAT THEM. I think we're seeing that, and McCain being senile has invited his personal Back Stabber into the fold.

Idiot.

Nixon was Batshit tho, I remember him walking the halls of the White House, talking to the Paintings, smashed out of his gourd... :)

11. Corruption drenched in Oil...
That's what this is.

An Era died under Bush's watch... and I'm not talking about the WTC attacks. I'm talking about an entire
socio-economic system. It died from neglect and greed.

Currently, I'm wondering if that's why Hucklebee's Revenge was chosen as the VP candidate. They've built a
system so corrupt and filled with hypocrisies that they had to go out to outermost fringes of American
society to find someone who even came close to living the lie they've built themselves (I'm talking about
the Religiously Insane branch of the Republican Party here, y'know... Their base.) and it turns out she's
a lie as well. Nobody could actually live by their standards. Too many contradictions.

Makes me feel like posting a list of questions on the Church Door. (Reference to Martin Luther.)

Maybe they didn't see the danger in going to the fringe like that was that they might encounter an actual
'conservative' of the original type... Not their watered-down, brain-dead, programmed type. And true to
their principles, they are pushing back.

Should prove interesting... If we can survive long enough to see the outcome. ;)

I love that post, reminded me of a cartoon where the scientist gets a really powerful telescope and can look to the ends of the Universe, only to find his own EYE staring back at him..

That's what McCain found, Primordial OOZE with his DNA all over it, stuck to the bottom of his shoe, and like the scum layer on a shower curtain, and Pork Barrel Palin, infinately MORE INTERESTING than HE IS to everyone else :)

with bullshit like that? if their nuttiness is readily apparent then satire is redundant. and needlessly cruel- all in all pretty juvenille.
right up their with the topless sarah photoshops and milf commentary and all the other embarrassing "by all means necessary" stupidity going around that look like they were authored by 14 year old boys.
it's not about class or god knows humour, it's about NOT being an asshole.

18. Here
Go watch my 40th Flash animation, I've won Hollywood awards for my work, been on the O'Reilly show arguing with that idiot, on Scarborough show TWICE, the second time for my ARMY OF ONE ad, which was one of 14 winning entries out of 6500, and was shown on National TV before the winning one was. Michael Moore called out my name and ad under spotlights in NYC for that ad..

I've been sued by Michael Savage for a half a million bucks, with Janeane Garofalo sending my site a BIG CHECK (to help us fight) and hooked me up with RObert Greenwald to get help doing it. A DU'r's Sister, a Lawyer saved us from a SLAPP suit by them. Not bragging, I could go on and on - I've spent my whole mortgage fighting these bastards, my choice..

I'm fairly recognizable as a national activist and don't really have time to argue with YOU over what a SINGLE person out of hundreds of thousands thinks about a Black Satirical Piece that YOU DON'T GET.

Watch this one, I make FUN of the Brady Bunch TOO!

OH HORRORS..

SHeesh..

http://www.takebackthemedia.com/thepalinbunch.html

How about this one for Juvenile? Been seen by over TWO MILLION FANS

Bye Bye now.

glad to see that you grasp awfulness in the situation in this satirical piece, and that's what this sign is riffing on, like I said before, and I can hardly believe it myself, there are actual GROUPS out there PRAYING that McCain DIES, but not quite yet, AFTER Pork Barrel Palin is in Office..

I can't believe it, it's like those things that you just can't make up, eh? :)

Thanks, good to hear from sane people - as a person who was drafted at the tail end of 'Nam, and joined the Air Force (we're an Air Force family) I served not only then, but worked in a VA Hospital taking care of over 300 patients who'd been scared so shitless by war that they no longer "communicated", shell shock is what they used to call it..

I figure I've EARNED the right of Free Speech, having fought for it PERSONALLY :)

my problem is I was raised as a kid to answer when spoken to, and that's a liability on the web, with all the crazies lobbing "look at me, Please!?" ego grenades. People that really SHOULD have something ELSE to do with their time, consider places like this their own little Emotional Ant Farm.. put the ant farm in the oven, "Hey! Look at them GO, man!" Next is the Freezer :)

Thanks for bucking me up, we can all use strokes, but to be honest, the sparrowfarts like that don't bring me down, I've got too much energy, the strength of Ten Men, because like Obama, my Heart is PURE :)

Do I think anything will really come of it when it is all said and done - No. And they'll paint it as a witchhunt.

I thought maybe the Alaskan Republicans would put country first but then I came to my senses. The Alaskan Republican Party of good old boys ran the phony reformer to keep a Democrat from taking over control of the state. It's all smoke and mirrors.
