Who slipped what into Scarborough's Joe?
He is talking sense, it's the strangest thing you've ever seen.

He either said, or supported those who said that the McCain campaign is lying about Obama. He mentioned the wolves, the kindergarten slur and the bridge.

His co-host closed with a rather ominous "There is much more to be learned about Sarah Palin." Maybe it's just that the McCain camp dissed MSNBC so they figure they have nothing to lose. Maybe they've finally learned what Palin really is. Who knows?

1. I think the media is fed up with the arrogance of McPalin.
They limit access--that's a big offense in the journo world, isn't it? And several of them have said that their campaign is the dirtiest they've ever seen.

3. A complete about face.
He must know something and wants a record that he broke his Kool-Aide addiction before everyone else.

4. Don't be fooled. MORNING JOE IS ON A ONE-MAN CAMPAIGN AGAINST OBAMA.
Every morning, it's an hour and a half of bad Obama, good Palin/McCain (yes...he follows the Repig talking points memos...now mentions Palin as if SHE were the nominee).

11. So this was normal?
I don't watch him often enough to know, but I've never seen him talk like this before.

It was as if it was a body double.

16. The corp media was so OVERLY obvious in the pushing of the
corporate McCain/Palin ticket that they had to regroup and muddy the waters. But anyone with half a brain can see through the scam.

19. That must've been AFTER he defended the McCain TV ad that says Obama "lies"....
I forget exactly the point; I remember just the visual. Pic of Biden and Obama, with the word "LIES" against a black screen.

Anyway, even Noonan thought it was misrepresenting something, as did most of the others on his show. But not Joe. Oh, no. He said everything in that ad is true. The guests, as usual, weren't ready to point out how the ad was not true (as many of us are ready...do those guests really know as much as they let on? I mean, it can't be that WE out here in blogsville actually know MORE than the folks on TV? I fear so.). Joe said several times how TRUE that ad was.

So I changed the channel to CNN and didn't see the last part of his show, where he supposedly was such a fine, upstanding "journalist."

BTW, Joe is not a journalist at all. He was a politician. A Repig senator. He has no background or training or experience in journalism. He started out after leaving politics by making guest appearances as a political pundit, then I guess on "consultation" contracts as a politicial analyst/commentator. He is at his heart still a Republican politician who follows the talking points memos, and is most definitely NOT a journalist in any sense of the word.

and realize how horrible it would be if this woman somehow became president, given McCain's precarious health.

9. We're going to see a lot more of this, mark my words
These shallow idiots don't want to be on the losing side, after all! Loyalty? Pfft--whazzat? It's all about CYA--Obama gets in and it's going to be "Aw, buddy, we knew you were the best candidate all along!" :eyes:

The only holdouts will be assclowns like Rush and O'Reilly and Hannity, and I'll bet anything they'll eventually quietly disappear in the first year of the Obama administration.

13. Dont be fooled
He CAMPAIGNED AND FUNDRAISED FOR BUSH in AUGUST 2004, AFTER starting work for MSNBC as a "news person."

Last week, I got another chance to observe President Bush up-close. The occasion was an event I was asked to host for the President in my home town of Pensacola. After initially refusing because I decided at the beginning of the campaign season to refrain from all political activities, I reconsidered for a number of reasons. I'm glad I did.

18. No, you're right to think that, it IS a reason for hope, because he has to acknowledge GOP screwups
more often than usual, which is good. :)

There is NO hope, however, for Dead Intern himself.

15. I think the Palin interview yesterday suckered punch them awake.
The cable"news" shows for the most part are entertainment. They milk every little titillating event for all it's worth. While some of them knew this Palin pick was ridiculous, they went along with it for the entertainment value. Now after seeing how shallow she is, for the serious commentators, and those that know for the good of the country the McCain/Palin ticket cannot succeed they are coming to their senses.

Now, that doesn't take away his 'r' status but he really doesn't like his choice on the big ticket.

21. Me, too. I used to watch every morning.
But Morning Joe has lost me as well. Mika's continually referring to George W. Bush as a "nice man" and her girl-crush on Palin are bad enough. But you factor in Pat Buchanan's loud braying about how his past "brilliance" in political campaigns decades ago along with Scarborough's Dr. Jekyl and Mr. Hyde comments, and the show is a car crash. Plus, Joe is worse than O'Reilly at interrupting his guests and not doing any homework.
The original show, when John Ridley was often on, was better. And I do like Harold Ford.
I haven't watched for weeks. I caught a few of Mika's comments gushing about Palin "she hunts! So do I! She knows how to use a gun! So do I!" during the GOP convention and vowed not to go back.
Overall, they seem lazy. Behind the curve. Plus, they swoon over every guest. They don't throw softballs. They throw marshmallows.

22. I dropped Moron Joe and his ditsy sidekick Mika too
Unfortunately, the wife has those two idiots on every morning which sends me off to the other side of the house.

I trust Joe Scarborough about as far as I can throw him. If he says anything that makes sense it's only being done to bolster his credibility so he can use that to take his attacks against Obama and Democrats to the next level. He's just another Republican criminal who somehow landed on his feet when by all rights he should be spending the rest of his life in jail murdering Lori Klausutis.
