Obama is obviously very respectful
I was thinking about this when driving today.

McCain went for the "gimmick" when picking his VP. He went for who could bring him some more voters.

Obama went for who was the most qualified. Knowing that Biden doesn't bring in big numbers.. (although I think after debates people will love Biden).

That shows the difference between the men. I think we should be pointing this out more. No one, not even someone who is voting for McCain would agree that Palin was the MOST qualified... Biden probably IS one of the most qualified dem politicians out there.

1. I agree.
Of course one must win the election to be able to lead but we should also think about what that leadership will be like after the election. McCain is so desperate to win that he doesn't care what he would have to deal with after winning. He's such a nasty human being that he would probably slap Palin around should she be come VP.

2. People have been pointing this out, only in a different way.
It's been said that Obama chose someone to help him govern whereas McCain chose someone to help him win.

3. I think McCain's pick was so disrespectful of America,,,
it was the most self-serving act I have ever seen in politics, and every time I see that damn "Country First" sign, all I can say to myself is "Politics First". I think the members of Congress should be speaking out against his pick for VP. A totally unqualified, RW nut case. He's despicable.
