Why doesn't Obama announce a press conference this afternoon?

If McCain is afraid to talk to the press, Obama can continue to show that he's not.

Obviously the bullshit will be asked about first - fine, Obama can throw it back at them and then turn it on them and back on to the issues.

It can be done and if Obama took an urgent tone, get the press attention and redirect the news cycle.

Obama needs to take control now.

11. MSNBC announced that the Obama camp would be having a conference call at 1PM ET from Alaska

with a group including the former Alaskan governor to set the record straight about Palin. They're calling it "The Alaska Myth-busters." But I haven't seen anything about it.
