A case for electing Obama from a disabled veteran's perspective
We’ve been a war most of our lives

What have these wars accomplished?

Several years ago a president from Texas took office under unusual circumstances. He then started a war predicated on lies.

Today we’re in a war predicated on lies started by a president from Texas who took office under unusual circumstances.

John McCain promises more of the same.

Our military is compromised, our economy is staggering, our treasury depleted, our debt spiraling out of control, businesses are failing, and John McCain promises more of the same.

Shysters, charlatans and hucksters have seized our government, lowering living standards for most Americans, and tarnishing America’s image with our traditional allies, and John McCain promises more of the same.

The prevaricating dissembler Karl Rove has engineered a great division in America for cheap political advantage. And for his efforts we are weaker on all fronts. The Republican strategy of dividing Americans by appealing to the worst fears and lowest instincts has run its course. The American people will no longer be hoodwinked by Karl Rove and his fear mongering. We deserve better and we are better.
John McCain embraces the policies of Bush, Cheney and Rove, and we can’t afford more of the same.

John McCain wants to give Paris Hilton more tax relief while at the same time rejecting the new GI Bill. America’s veterans are being betrayed by a fellow veteran who wants to be president, and we certainly can’t afford more of the same.

Six Gun Sarah Palin claims to have a direct link to God. She sounds like George Bush on Steroids. If this is a sign of John McCain’s judgment, then America certainly can’t afford more of the same from John McCain.

The war profiteers who have hidden their ill gotten gains in off shore tax havens like Hallburton in Dubai need to be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law. Treasury looting by any other name is still treasury looting. Some of our public officials have willfully stolen our tax dollars in the fog of war. We know some of their names quite well by now.

It is our duty as American citizens to elect those who offer the hope of an administration that abides by the law and puts people before profits, and respects the Constitution given to us by our founding fathers.

We have the opportunity to elect Barack Obama and Joe Biden to lead us out of the darkness caused by the deliberate dimming of The Enlightenment by the Bush cartel.

Barack Obama and Joe Biden will shine the light of day on the shady dealings of George Bush and Dick Cheney and their enablers like John McKeating/McCain.

Barack Obama and Joe Biden will restore our depleted military and our international reputation and the rest of the world will know that a strong America is a more reliable ally. The reckless military adventures that John McCain promises can only serve to make us weaker, and make our traditional allies less secure.

Torture is not a family value and the Book of Revelation is not sound foreign policy.

I don’t know about you, but I’m working to get the smartest guys in the room elected so they can raise living standards for all Americans, not just the top one percent and secure the future for the generations that follow us.

It’s time to restore democracy and the Constitution for which it stands.
With Barack Obama and Joe Biden leading the way, yes we can.
