The Speech To Nowhere

I'm getting sick and tired of this.

Anyone who applauds her turretts sit-com delivery, on the 5th, 8th, 12th, 100-bottles-of-beer-on-the-wallth time either didn't finish 6th grade, or ingests hate and fear deliberately to blur reality beyond all rationality.

In either case, you're wasting your breath. Morons and bullies don't give one rat's ass about her effing bridge. They think earmarks are what's left behind from a botched piercing job, done by your roommate after 12 beers.

Everything she says sounds like this: "We're the good ones. They're the bad ones. We're gonna win. They're gay."

Everything we (meaning, reasoning, intellectual people of ideas and history and cause and effect) say sounds like this:

"Blah, blah, do your homework, blah, blah blah, you're dumb and lazy, blah, blah, blah..."

The numbers of people with vision of better possibilites may very well be outnumbered by the lazy, the greedy, the dishonest, and the judgemental. The so-called religious right are after all a cult of negativity, based on brutal violence (yup, sorry, but how else do you describe a crucifiction?), power, judgement and punishment. Those who are drawn to it are not seeing a utopia. They're seeing their inner pain and conflict and loss played out in immense cathedrals with epic trappings. Their inner crucifiction is expressed in their end-times fantasies. They identify with Palin on a molecular level, lacking any understanding of anything conscious. Argument is their natural habitat. She is possessed by the same morbid fears as theirs. They know her. She is them.

There's no talking your way out of it, with any of these people.

If voters were not swayed yet by Obama's ease and humor and grace and openness, words won't do it, either.

All of these details are just speeches to nowhere.

And they're going to rig it again, anyway.

Our only real hope is that Obama challenges the count and refuses to conceed.

Anyone know how he feels about that?
