Did John McCain get his balls cut off in N. Vietnam?
Edited on Tue Aug-31-04 07:30 AM by iceman_419
Because I know that if someone worked to smear me I would not be supporting him for president, especially with the viciousness of those attacks. McCain is a Republican boob who seems to like to take it up the ass. Most of his time must have been spent in a POW camp since he obviously doesn't understand what it is like to see your comrades fall dead next to you. I say this because no man who has been to battle would ever condone this war.

1. I Think He Was In A North Vietnamese Prison Camp...
This post is a great example of why the left alienates so many folks in middle America...

By the way I think McCain has sold his soul but we can express our disappointment in him in more temperate language...

He was in North Vietnam not North Korea number 1, number 2, people still died in those POW camps.

5. Really- I Shouldn't Say I'm Disappointed In McCain....
He's a politician and like all politicians acts in his own naked self interest....

Perhaps people will remove the demigod status from him...

It just us does us folks on the left no good to say "he had his balls cut off" and "takes it up the ass"...

Yeah I know but I wish he would do on to Kerry as Kerry did for him, he has stood up for him granted but Kerry stood up for McCain when he didnt have to in 2000 but youre right.

14. I Think Most Politicians Try To Do What's Right In Their Mind
but I think they try to do what's popular first....

Anyway McCain never personally attacked Kerry in his speech last night while Guliani did multiple times...

6. McCain is a Repub simply backing the Repub candidate.
It happens all the time. Ted Kennedy is not crazy, personally, about Kerry, but is responsible for Kerry being the Democrat nominee.

It's called politics. If McCain wants to run for Prez in 2008, he will run as a Repub and needs the Republican Party's backing, which requires that he support the current Repub candidate. It's really very simple. And normal. We do it, too. Politicians. Don't you just love 'em?

That's what it takes to win in politics, though. It's impossible to "go it alone" in politics (wars are different, apparently, in *'s opinion).

11. The BBC's view this morning was that he is lining up for 2008
He'll be 72 then - fairly old, but possible, I suppose.

12. All Politicians Are Trimmers Even The Ones On Our Side...
Only a blind partisan would refuse to recognize that...

Bobby Kennedy was a conviction politician but even he had to make decisions within the constraints of what is politically achievable....

If you can't win, you can't govern....

7. So I'm guessing the majority believes no
I still think McCain has no guts, when it comes to politics. He did serve honorably in Vietnam, not Korea, but don't you guys think he's just taking it up the ass from the Repugs?

8. I Think He Is A Phony
but so are 99% of the politicians on the left and right...

I think most of them bases their policies on what is appealing to a plurality or majority of the electorate depending on what it takes to win....

9. Bush and Rove explained in 2000 about McCain selling out his
country while being held and tortured by the VC! The Neocons claimed back in 2000, that McCain was as crazy as a damned bat when he came home from Nam! Maybe they were right about the Crazy part!

Maybe the GOPers thought that by torturing the prisoners in Iraq they could be turned into John McCain type Repubs later on in life too!

17. Sickening post
Garbage like this from fellow Democrats is shameful. I have been a Democrat for 58 years and I hang my head in shame. No wonder we keep losing.
