Who revealed Track Palin's SECRET deployment info?
Sign here to ask for an investigation:

http://ga3.org/campaign/track/

Background (from VoteVets.org):

In a number of outlets, the details of when and where Track will be in Iraq have been reported. This isn’t just a violation of Operational Security (OPSEC), it puts the lives of every troop around him in danger. It’s time for the Department of Defense to investigate who is leaking these details to the media.

Have the Republican's no shame? Have they learnt nothing from their criminal exposure of Valerie Plame? Is this just more use of her family as photo op props by Palin?

Either way, putting Track and his fellow soldiers at risk is not only crazy but also, apparently, illegal.

1. Signed and sent, I had complained about this and not many
seemed to terribly concerned about it here. Have you posted this in the Veterans forum. It is not likely to sink as fast there, plus it will probably get a little more "track"tion in a forum comprised of people who understand the ramifications of this subject.

6. From CNN
CNN --- But the kind of information the group is referring to is typically publicly released by the Defense Department well in advance of a unit’s deployment. And the date of Palin’s upcoming deployment has been referred to numerous times by his mother, Republican vice presidential candidate Sarah Palin, on the campaign trail.

"There is no violation of operational security,” said Pentagon spokesman Bryan Whitman. “DoD tells the public when we rotate a brigade into Iraq or Afghanistan."

There was no word from the Pentagon on whether there had been any requests for special consideration in Track Palin’s case. Earlier this year, John McCain asked the media not to report the precise date and time his son Jack would be returning from Iraq until he was back in the United States, a request that was honored by all major news organizations.

8. From DOD
These deployments will provide commanders in Iraq the flexibility to maintain the appropriate force structure based on their assessment of the security situation on the ground.

Specific units receiving deployment orders include:

25th Infantry Division Headquarters, Schofield Barracks, Hawaii

1st Brigade, 25th Infantry Division, Fort Wainwright, Alaska.

DoD will announce major unit deployments as units are given deployment orders. For information on the units announced today or other units involved in this rotation, please contact Army Public Affairs at (703) 692-2000

9. This is far more info than should be released
VP contender's son goes to Iraq with his brigade - that would be one story, and an allowable one.
However, this is what some bad people with guns, bombs and the internet know from yahoo news article at:
http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20080905/ap_on_el_pr/iraq_veep_sons

Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin's eldest son, Track, will perform security duties for his brigade's top officers.

And that brigade is:
1st Stryker Brigade Combat Team at Fort Wainwright, Alaska.

Why don't they just paint a big red X on his back?
