Does Anyone Know What in the Hell is Going On?
Edited on Mon Sep-08-08 02:44 PM by PCIntern
This was my first day back in my practice wherein people have had time to 'digest' the 'nomination' of this inadequate moose-dresser from the middle-of-nowhere USA. It has been an extremely difficult morning and afternoon, with questions asked of me such as: What do you think of Palin (To which my answer was a practiced, "The WORST political thing I have ever seen in my entire life, bar none. The greatest threat to this country and the world and to what's left of our democracy.") It is as though Rod Serling scripted this as a final farewell Twilight Zone, one reminiscent of the famous The Nightmare On Elm Street, where we rush to our own destruction while the forces of evil sit back and watch.

There is not a small chance she could become President IF the ticket is elected, there is an ENORMOUS chance she will take over, and I would put the probability of that outcome as over 95%, given his history and what he looks like today: Pre-something...I've posted this before, no sense being redundant or saying things twice, or even repetitively.

I'm so mad I could spit...can it BE that we're going to do the same thing again? Are these people really cattle, being herded down the chute which has been designed by an autistic person who knows how they respond? This horror, this nightmare has got to stop...someone has to get mad, get really mad and stand up and say, "We're mad as Hell, and we're not gonna take it anymore!" we have come so far from that movie that the premise of the film is so naive compared to what goes on today.

i'm physically and emotionally exhausted from all of this. Is there no decency, no shred of dignity left? Do not 'business' people who have billions to lose look at this and say to themselves that this is just not right; that it makes no sense at all whatsoever? Where are the folks who make fortunes from the stability of the country, as opposed to the War economy? What is going to happen next?

Probably, we're peeing into the wind by talking about all this, an the blow-back's gonna be a bitch. Lord knows, we have a self-described bitch already. So we're gonna have two for the price of one.

1. It's all about taxing the rich. They aren't going to let those tax breaks get away.
Even if it means mooseturd.

2. One of the things I ask
any doctor I go to, any doctor - that includes specialists and veterinarians for my pets -

"What do you think of George W. Bush?"

If they do not answer in the correct way - I do not stay. I do not wish to have a bone head "practicing" medicine on me, my children or my animals.

And yes, of course you are correct. It is very much like the twilight zone.

6. Unfortunately, the majority of my colleagues are Republicans.
They have totally bought into the lie about Republicans being "good for business", not realizing that it is only true for GINORMOUS corporations. My business has suffered tremendously under Bush, because my middle-class clients have suffered tremendously under him.

People DO need to start inquiring about where their veterinarians stand, and hold their feet to the fire. If enough of them lose enough business because they support McCain, and they know that's why, they just might change. Money talks.

4. I went to a wal-Mart last week (sorry)
have you been to one lately? The sad truth is that the average American voter is dumb, or at least, seriouly uninformed.

5. I was listening to an old Jean Shepherd show last night...
and as some may know, he was no liberal in the old days, BUT he made an interesting point: he said that when WOR TV in NY would show a classic film, it got almost no ratings, but if they showed something like the 7 labors of Hercules with Steve Reeves once or twice a day for a week, they'd have the second-highest raiting for the time slot whenever they showed this movie. People couldn't get enough of it...

Cabbage-heads back in the mid-60's and of course, before...

9. Sometimes it's as if the stupid people have taken over the world.
There they sit, unemployed because their job was outsourced to China, phone is ringing because the collection agency is hot for their car, the double wide has already been foreclosed on, they think they might have a serious medical condition but can't go to the doctor because they can't afford insurance, but as long as John McCain and Ms. Mooseburger assure them it's all in their heads and if they love Jesus and salute the flag life will be hunky dory, they're in the bag for the Republicans. Hey, Doc, we need some laughing gas here.
