2. yes, that is why they are joined at the hip now.
I think they were to split this week but changed last minute - Palin would get bigger and more enthusiastic audiences and embarrass McCain so they are stuck together at least for a while now.

Biden and Obama can cover twice the territory then.

If they somehow win, I think he'd take the presidency over a week or two of media fawning.
