8. Why is there a cap on individual donations

and corporations can give unlimited amounts to the campaigns of their choice? How does the rules justify doing this?

It seems like corporations are buying influence with their big money contributions with no regard for what average Americans need. I guess I'm naive-cause I didn't realize how much they gave to presidential campaigns.

For instance, how many times do we get outraged by something we see on You Tube--that was first broadcast on one of the networks? The Internet doesn't exist in a vacuum, and for most of the world (or the US at least), what's reported on NBC Nightly News (for example) is more "legit" than Brad Blog (for another example). On some level, for the left to make our case to the world we need to cite references from the CM. Sad but true--what a vicious cycle it's all become.

Westinghouse Electric Company doesn't own CBS. It was sold to BNL which later (2006)sold it to Toshiba.

After CBS bought Westinghouse in a "little fish ate the big fish" deal, some Westinghouse businesses got sold off and only the logo remained. Even the appliance business ("you can be sure if it's Westinghouse") was sold off long ago to the White Corporation. Sometimes you can't even follow the trades even if you do have a program. All I know is that my pension is now held by Viacom. I hope it's still there when I go to collect.
