For the past 19 months, Obama (and the campaign) have done much better when they were "underdogs"

Think about it.

When Hillary was the "inevitable one", the Obama campaign was in its zenith. As long as he thought of himself as the "underdog", he just let it loose and his very likeable self showed through.

Then... after he won 11 straight contests and had the lead, he effectively "ran out the clock" in the Primary... not doing anything risky, and just making sure he got the right number of delegates.

Conversely, Hillary did HER best campaigning when her back was against the wall. That's when she made her big push.. but the clock ran out on her.

Does anyone else see, like I do, the opportunity that the recent spat of news and polls might provide Obama?

Yep... return to "underdog" status. Where he does his best work. Look for it this week.

I predict will get Obama's equivalent of the "Bubba plays sax on Arsenio Hall" moment this week.... maybe on Letterman.

That was the moment, in June of 1992, that turned the Clinton campaign around. He was in 3rd behind Perot and Bush... and his campaign was really struggling. And the Arsenio appearance created a week of positive news for Clinton and his poll numbers shot way up.....

It was a small thing.. but it RESONATED.

Don't underestimate the "sax on Arsenio" moment.
