Because the "news" that's being propagated is almost as important as the news that's real.

BTW I don't have cable but I look on the interwebs.

by using alternatives and just ignoring them.

No, I get late-breaking news from here or HuffPo. I watch KO and will watch Rachel.

I never got why people on this board watched Tweety and the ilk.
