The best thing about the Gibbs/Fartinhammer buttkicking was how he used the Palin investigation

He used it to shred the McGarbo reform message, linking Palin's stonewalling on TrooperGate to the fact that uber-lobbysists like Charlie Black and Rick Davis run the McCain campaign.

Said "she'll fit right in with Washington" because of the tactics she has already used to try to slow down the investigation. It was a very strong broadside against the whole "we're the change Washington needs" bullshit line that McCain is presently sailing on coming out of their convention.

I'd like to see Obama start building this line of argument into his campaign appearances pronto. It puts both of them in their place and offers a contrast with his own record on ethics and how he runs his campaign.

Needless to say, it's also a nice little biographical detail to get out there on The Queen.
