The delegates to the convention? They lost family on 9/11? The ones who keep talking about how icky and scary and stupid New Yorkers are? Yeah, they feel for the victims of 9/11 all right.

is truly repugnant.

This shows their desperation. They truly have nothing to go on, so they have to exploit this country's greatest tragedy.

And he even managed to f*ck THAT up, too.

unless you count the choolchildren who enjoyed "my pet goat" while the towers burned.....

Actually...
I believe we did have a segment with the families of 9/11 victims, but there was a purpose...to challenge Bush's decisions and actions after 9/11. These widows are just reliving their pain for the political gain of Bush. No act of bravery on those flights were a result of Bush - in fact quite the opposite - they had to be brave BECAUSE Bush WASNT. This is shear shameful politics of the worst kind and I am just SICK!

32. Heard Dole on Larry King
say that we sometimes forget about 9/11. How can we forget when they remind us everyday. King asked him how they were going to connect 9/11 and Iraq. Dole gave some non answer about being proactive. My brain was bleeding at that point so I couldn't hear and retain anymore of the interview.

Why don't they have the women that testified in the latest hearings? The ones that fought for the 9/11 commission in the first place?

http://www.sun-sentinel.com/news/local/miami/sfl-csharpton30aug30,0,7558890,print.story?coll=sfla-news-miami

hey danced, clapped, shouted and sang, and that was before the Rev. Al Sharpton even opened his mouth.

By the time the former presidential candidate finished his sermon to more than a thousand people gathered in a Miami church Sunday, blending politics and religion into a call to action to South Florida's black community, congregation members churned with energy.

They left determined, they said, to turn out in unprecedented numbers during the upcoming elections.

They will have to, Sharpton warned, if they don't want a replay of the 2000 presidential race. He said he was "returning to the scene of the crime" in Florida, while the Republican National Convention gets under way, so people remember how President Bush "got here in the first place."

49. This all makes me feel uncomfortable and sad that they...
are using 9/11 like this. I'm not saying this in response to these women speaking right now, I'm talking about what I've seen of the tone so far. Just in one night the constant references to 9/11 and the 'steady leadership' since. All these references to 9/11 really cheapen the whole thing to me especially when we consider the course we've taken since. I don't know. I'm not trying to just lash out at the republicans, I'm sure I would've found something to dislike regardless, but it just makes me uncomfortable and sad to see it used this way. And if anyone says 'oh you don't understand 9/11' I was living in Manhattan at the time and the years that followed. I'm not sure that gave me any special insight into all this than if i were home in Oklahoma but who knows. It just makes me sad. It really does.

63. It's all they've got. I can't blame them.
After 9/11- the fact that Bush was the idiot who let it happen on his watch, and maybe for some reason we should feel sorry for him and rally around his pathetic run-around-the-country-and-hide ass, and cheerlead on the unilateral invasion of a run down country with no air force that maybe had some very slight connection to the whole attck IF you read the horoscope the right way backwards on the right day of the week.
After 9/11, the only thing they've got is tax cuts.
It's all pretty vacuous.
And predictable. :puke:
