31. Since moving to the middle of a ranching community

I have heard people recently use references for their name calling that I last heard from elderly relatives (now passed) who lived in the less tolerant parts of Oklahoma.

In the community I am in now (part time), the kids who aren't bright enough to flee to the city (not the ones who are just naturals at ranching and the outdoor life, just those left behind because they have nothing they are accomplished at doing) use the same phrasing their daddys did, who got it from their grandpaps...sometimes several generations are still found sitting around, chewing the fat on "what's happening to this country." I think they grew up hearin that, and are still hearing it in the next room because they never escaped it. Those kind of younger rural people aren't always able to be at the forefront of the new lingo.

Using generations-old insults such that you'd think they were the only ones that should be allowed on this continent.
