My haircutting party and the independent women attending who are PISSED about Palin
We have hair cutting parties where we all meet at someone's house and hire our favorite stylist, a sweet gay guy we all secretly want to sleep with, to cut, color, perm....whatever.

Well, the topic today was Palin and I have to say I have never seen such angry women in my life. All it took was mentioning her name and no one would shut up to listen to anyone else. These are independet voters....serious independents...no fucking around...they WILL vote for local republicans. But the McCain/Palin thing had them scathingly pissed...spitting angry pissed. Whoa. A few never even considered Obama until this circus with Palin and now they are researching reasearching researching everything they can about him claiming they now WILL vote for him hands down.

So...I had a great morning. Mud Bowl is tomorrow with a parade including the democrats of our town and canvassing all day Sunday. Life is sweet.

4. Yep. We NH peeps dont take to that kind of bullshit very well.
I've been hearing nothing but anger about the pick myself. I do believe that Johnny boy just lost this state once and for all. Woohoo! The indies are SERIOUSLY pissed. :bounce:

5. I am astounded.
I've known some of these women for a long time. For them to exhibit ths type of anger is rare. They're usually so stoic.

15. Many of the indies I know who are pissed...
are usually the "I might vote, I might not vote, maybe if I have the time" people. And I've heard them tear into her like someone who's been following politics for decades! Thanks John! :hi:

I'm beginning to think they seriously miscalculated on this one. This was a RON PAUL supporter.

10. SWEET! I work with a new voter...
middle-aged Indian guy, just naturalized - this is his first election!

He's been trying to stay non-partisan, but after the "this is a war for GOD!" crap from Sarah, he's telling this republican guy in my office why that makes him scared of her.

17. Did you catch the "Indian" part and "war for GOD" parts?

I assume Indian means from India in this instance. They already have an Islamic Crusade threatening them. I'd imagine an American Christian Crusade would scare the shit out of anyone with any sense.

13. Love my neighbor, NH ... love that Mud Bowl. And:
What did I see in Conway NH when I drove through recently? A very neat county Obama office on the main drag.

Northern NH - is a good repub base, normally, but the lawn signs were about 60-40 for Obama.

Some diehards up there will hold their nose and vote McCain but won't put up signs, I reckon.

14. Great to hear! And it is...
Wonderful to know that the pukes assumption that they can manipulate the woman vote with smoke and mirrors is not working --- in your world anyway, but I suspect elsewhere.

BTW, if your favorite stylist was straight and available - now how might that change the dynamics of your hair cutting party? :) :pals:

25. The use of a token woman to win the election mostly.
But also the baby thing, her issues on women's rights, her total lack of experience no matter what the republicans say, these women can see through that and that frightens them the most.

33. But come on. Palin has an EXTENSIVE
educational background.

How many people attend five different colleges on the way toward getting a B.A. degree at the University of Idaho?

There's probably a hundred thousand people who could say, "I went to college with Sarah Palin."

29. i am sayin.... as a female i know in the gut, the biggest slap in my face by a party of males
that has been trying to knock us down for a long time now. and i am just not the woman of three or four decades ago where i actually thought i was not as worthy, or significant or equal to a man.

this is an insult beyond the stupid shit so many males are handing to women today.
