No one "thinks they're 'uppity'." At worst, the Obamas themselves might think they're upwardly mobile--which is supposed to be a Republican GOOD QUALITY, right - you take the opportunities you have and you work hard and you'll succeed, right?

No, "uppity" is only a word you call someone else. Someone who has ambitions beyond the place YOU think THEY ought to have.

It's what working-class redneck kids call other working-class redneck kids who actually willingly read books and finish high school.

It's what angry, vengeful, insecure men call their soon-to-be-ex-wives--right before they shoot that woman and their children.

It's, as we all know, what a certain strain of white people call people of other ethnic groups who don't settle for the servant class.
