White fascist Nazis.
Throughout this RNC spectacle it's become more and more clear that a kind of insanity is permeating the attendees in St. Paul. I think I've figured out why: In a homogeneous crowd like the Republicans (their black and brown people are scarce, highly prized and carefully placed for the cameras), it's easy to forget that America and the rest of the world don't look like the RNC. This uncomfortable fact is so pushed to the background that the beady-eyed, sweaty-upper-lipped congregation effectively becomes a fascist mob.

For contrast, look at the DNC. They look like America, indeed like the world. How could mob mentality and insanity take hold in such a group? I suggest that the very demographic makeup of the two parties ensures that group psychosis will exist in one and not the other. Beyond policy differences, beyond even political philosophy, the monoculture of the Republicans compared to the diversity of the Democrats marks them as the party of death.

1. The RNC seems to be exclusive and the DNC seems inclusive. nt

3. Exactly. If Hitler's audience had (somehow) included Jews, gypsies, Turks, whatever variety of
humans available in Europe at that time, his message of "racial purity" would never have worked.

4. I don't know if permeating is the right word.
