These guys always think six or seven moves ahead on any political decision. Look at how the Dan Quayle/National Guard thing played out, for example. They put out something that looked like a complete bonehead play, the Dems got the attack wrong, and Daddykins was off to the races.

We need to be very careful how we attack and what we say on the Palin question.

There are bountiful grounds to get her on hypocrisy, but if we look like we're bashing the kid(as they're anticipating we will)we're known in the Biblical sense.

It's a minefield. Tread carefully, troops.

5. False analogy. You're assuming the press treats Dems & Republicans equally.

The sexualized connotations of the Palin attacks will backfire because they specifically turn off people who would otherwise be open to the Democratic spin. People who get discouraged by negative politics generally tend to vote for us, when we stick to the issues like Bill Clinton did.
