I'd be embarrassed if I were there--that is not a representation of America

at all. I've seen about three people who aren't white in that ENTIRE place. That's not representative of America. Of course there are TONS of reasons I'd be embarrassed to be at that convention, but that one just struck me as I'm looking at this audience. I live in a really diverse area and we don't look like *that.* Not at all.

So when Fred Thompson and others refer to "we" he means their 99% white group. Which is not "we the people."



(Just throwing this in here--they need to show Cindy McCain on TV a LOT more often. I've not ever seen her in anything other than pictures before and she is downright creepy in live action. When Fred said something particularly smug, she looked so smarmy it was unreal. There, they just showed her doing it again.)

Oh I can't watch these people embarrass themselves by attempting to dance. I have to turn this.

4. It is creepy.

I just posted an OP which is sinking like a stone, but I pretty much am struck by the whiteness of the entire convention. It is eerie.

I totally agree. It's really creepy. And I'm white. I just never EVER see huge all-white crowds. Ever.
