1. I wouldn't expect to hear that until after Nov.2.
You might hear some little blips if someone were to ask him if he would consider XXX for his cabinet, but I doubt you'll hear anything difinitive.

2. There are rumors that Redding Pitt may be Attorney General
Decatur native, Kerry share ties
Wednesday, July 28, 2004
By JOHN ANDERSON

BOSTON - Decatur native Redding Pitt will have a particular reason to cheer tonight when delegates to the Democratic National Convention formally choose U.S. Sen. John Kerry to take on President Bush this fall.

Pitt and Kerry are friends, so much so that Pitt took off from his Birmingham law practice for a total of about six weeks this winter to campaign for the then-struggling Kerry campaign in New Hampshire and Georgia.

Pitt, chairman of the Alabama Democratic Party, said in an interview this morning several things have cemented their friendship through the years.

Kerry and Pitt met in the early 1970s while attending law school at Boston College and immediately took a liking to each other, Pitt said. "We were both six years older'' than the average first-year student "because we were both Vietnam War veterans,'' he said.

12. Whenever you pick someone, you disappoint
four others who thought they were going to get the job.

So, better to let them all think they have a chance until after the election. That way you keep them all and their supporters working hard for you.
