I'd REALLY like to hear left media and Dem spokespeople make that simple point.

McCain has feet of clay.

3. It was delicious for us to see McCain have to pander to the fundies
for almost a decade to win their favor for his run for the presidency, and then this summer see him realize that to choose a fundie-friendly veep nom means alienating his brand-name "maverick" following among independents, and with that, losing the November election.

Many indies are quite sour on the religious Far Right, and properly so.

Obama is doing quite well among those independents and in some surveys is taking as much as 25-30% of the evangelicals (who after all have hated McCain longer than he's pandered to them).

Barr's polling in double digits in New Hampshire, according to Rachel Maddow today.

I'm adding a few of these things up and not getting a Republican victory. How 'bout you folks?

7. I have been thinking along those lines, too. Like the GOP fears Ron Paul and Bob Barr will get
the votes from the Constitutionalist types that they NEED more than ever this year.
