I'm thinking he would be in another "bold, gutsy, daring" mood. Having the convention choose the VP might be that kind of idea. And since the right wingers control the Republican Party anyway, they'd still get what they want.

Just wondering. Perhaps this would be an extremely boneheaded idea.

1. Hey, just 'cause it's boneheaded doesn't disqualify an idea for McCain! n/t

3. I don't think so, and I don't think she'll drop out/get kicked off the ticket
during the Convention. I think they'll try and tough it out and see if all the bad news about Palin emerging dies down (unlikely) they'll be able to stick with her. If not, she's gone. I think she'll be gone in 10 days. There's just too much emerging on Palin.

4. It's now in a "what will come out next about her" situation.
And I suspect there will be more. Much more. I mean, the thing with the Alaska Independence Party was out of right field for me.

6. Not likely. It would provoke a vicious floor fight and McCain would have to live with the winner.
Not likely. It would provoke a vicious floor fight and McCain would have to live with the winner, regardless. Not McCain's comfort zone.
