Sarah Palin's Positions: Let Me Get This Straight...
She doesn't believe in global warming

She sued the federal government to take the polar bear off the endangered species list

She's for drilling in Anwar

She's for aerial hunting of wolves

She's for the teaching of creationism

She's against abortion even in cases of rape and incest

She's against equal pay for women

She's against contraception

She's against same sex marriage

She's against health benefits for same sex couples

She's for a constitutional amendment to ban same sex marriage

She's for teacher led school prayer

She's for the death penalty

She's for 3 strikes mandatory sentencing

She's against more federal funded health care

She's against replacing oil and coal with alternative fuels

This lady is on the fringe and she's scary as hell.

Feel free to add on if there's something important I left out, and i'm sure there is.

3. Not only is she against fed funded health care, she wants to repeal tax credits to companies
who provide it. That would ensure no one would have health care.

8. That would have the unintended consequence of finally bringing about national health insurance.
The only reason half the country has health insurance is because huge corporations get tax breaks to provide it. Those 50% don't care about the 50% who aren't employed by a company large enough to get subsidized health care for their employees. That's why we have this mess.

14. I seriously doubt that would actually resuly in national health insurance.
Maybe it solve part of the problem, but that's all it would do with a McCain/Palin administration running things.

4. Oh, it gets better. Check out her answers to the Eagle Forum questionnaire.
Apparently she thinks "the founding fathers" recited the Pledge of Allegiance--and said, "Under God," in it.

12. Since when does DU defend Bush over someone like Palin?
There is no shortage of polar bears. There is space shortage because of the melting. There's money involved here. And I know Bush better than Palin. Bush is also more in charge currently, and Palin will probably never get in the office anyway.

But in the mean time, you could be handing Bush what he needs to fill the pockets if you know what I mean.

As far as what to do? Since when is a bears life more important than a human life? Would you like to live where bears are attacking and killing children because all they want to do is to eat? Or would you allow the hunt to ease the population so more people are not hurt. Don't tell me no shooting bears because that's not up for discussion because that's not the question.

They may be endangered because of the disappearing land mass, but this is not in population counts.

15. I live in Georgia
down south, ya know. We have bears here, bud. Frequent campsite visitors. Often seen around the burbs, too. Had a couple in my back yard just a year ago. Never heard of a Georgian kid being eaten by a bear. So perhaps the real problem is that Alaskan parents aren't so good at protecting their kids, if they are being eaten.

Frankly, as a sportsman, I am unlikely to respect the opinion on this matter of any woman who teaches her children to shoot wolf puppies in the den. Disgusting.

Trav

** Disclaimer: Trav is a over educated red neck who learned how to shoot before he could read. His marksmanship instructor was a retired history professor and biographer of Benjamin Franklin, a man who had earned his stake for college by riding with the Wild West Show as a trick shooter. Trav also has a special fondness for dogs of all varieties, including wolves, and is more than a bit fond of bears. Trav has to sign off now because the cat is reminding him that the four great danes need to be fed. **

However, you've been a pretty adamant defender of Palin over the last few days.

18. Will she accept 75% of Cheney's pay? Does she accept 75% of the previous AK Governor?
If she's against equal pay for women and men then she should do what other women are doing
