1. Dont' know for certain, but I trust that he is.
Remember when the flooding happened? He was there filling sand bags. He's going to do something and it will be something meaningful, not symbolic.

3. Being that the Secret Service would disrupt evacuation efforts,
I would hope that Obama & Biden would stay away from there.

5. He can have the volunteers all over the country do things.
Start with getting on the phones and soliciting donations to the Red Cross, for example.

Maybe a few in the area can bring relief supplies (assuming FEMA and Blackwater don't block them like they did last time...)

but Obama said they will wait and see what they can do to make themselves useful. And it's good news that Gustav is weakening! NO can't take another big hit.

Like he should do. He should denounce any phoney moves by McIncompetent when he heads for the damage zone.
