Fucking MTP is gushing over Palin
Gads....The Meet the Press panel is being soooooo superficial.

Palin has a great "story."

She is an expert on energy -- nevermind that we've had two "energy experts" in the White House for eight years.

A mile wide and an inch deep.

...as per Republican Strategist Mike Murphy.

I wish I were kidding. He said this with a straight face.

9. Didn't Mike Murphy basically get laughed off of MSNBC last week?
Why would they invite a laughing stock on MTP? A show that is supposed to be somewhat serious.

40. Yep...He Claimed The Clintons Wouldn't Vote For Obama
Said it with a straight face right after Bill's speech and endorsement...that "in their heart of hearts" and in the privacy of the voting booth they would apparently vote for Gramps and Sarah Barracuda.

This hack was Gramps 2000 campaign manager and got the rubber weenie this time around...no wonder...what an assclown.

4. Oh that was nothing compared to THIS WEEK. Cokie was practically
on her knees for John McCain/Palin. I'm sure she would kiss their shoes if they asked her to. George Will was equally as awful. Then that guy that worked for GW Bush (can't think of his name). Sam Donaldson was the only one with a clue. Republican shills for the round table discussion.

It simply amazes me that anyone is surprised at this, just as it amazes me that anyone watches any of it!

7. Alas, we have to watch because they are the ones who shape perceptions
I wish we could send all of those jokers to the boneyard of anonymity.

But they're the ones who have a large role in determining the outcome of elections.

It would be a whoile lot more honest, for example, if the MTP jerkoffs had, for example, even bothered to ask whether someone what that many ties to the oil industry can really have a balanced view of the energy issue beyind the interests of Big Oil.

Alas, what those Bozos do and don't say does make a difference.

14. They are creating their faux universe again, just like they did for the Dem convention
where there were "riots in the streets", "knock-down drag-out fights on the convention floor", and "the revolt of delegates in a coup d'etat to install Hillary as the nominee". They are being fed by flunky marketing majors and slickster car salesmen who were taught how to "sell" and "create a brand", and they have had to work overtime to do it.

:eyes:

As Public Enemy elegantly sang => Don't believe the hype.

19. Tom Brokaw (R - MSNBC) didn't correct Patooty when
Patooty intentionally left out Obama's State Senate IL experience.

At least the CBS host looked incredulous at Rudy G when Rudy said Palin's experience was better than Obama's.

I think there are still alot of Rethugs that are unconvinced about her.

21. We must debunk maverick and reformer. People vote on emotion and groundswell.
Actually listening to the media. I know, I know. After the time spent seriously addressing an election and change, we have an American Idol contest at the finish line. Can they drag her through? Sacre enough people about one party rule, although they are the party of obstruction.

Ted Stevens filmed an ad for her, and the GOP controls the state. They allowed her to be elected to repelace what they saw as a corrupt sinking ship. And whatever her sincere motives about reform, she doesn't have the skills to really reform. Papers call her simplistic in problem-solving, and we see reports of hiring, firing that makes no sense.

Alaska media is against her, even critical of her as governor.

And the energy czarina cred has to go. Just big oil, and outsourcing to Canada in her current plans. A scandal may occur, but the time is short.

24. Wall Street Whore, Maria Bartiromo, practically delivered a stump speech for Palin
Here's a telling bit from Maria's wikipedia page

2004 Jeopardy! appearance
In May 2004, Bartiromo participated in a Power Players week on Celebrity Jeopardy!, featuring notable figures from the worlds of politics and journalism.<7> During her appearance, Bartiromo did not buzz for the majority of questions asked and played most of the game with a negative score. After the completion of the Double Jeopardy round Maria finished with $0. Unable to compete in the Final Jeopardy round, host Alex Trebek gifted her $1,000 so as to be able to participate in Final Jeopardy. Maria failed to answer the Final Jeopardy question correctly and finished the game with $300 of the $1,000 she had been granted for the final round.<8>

These are the "experts" provided by our media.

maria "oh the people are just so happy with her, I spoke to her driver and he said she didn't need to have cooks. picking her was a very savvy choice for mccain". blah, blah, blah.

just what I was afraid of, the minute someone says something bad about her they are going to start talking about her baby with Downs and dare you to talk about that baby's momma. oh yeah and she's the hottest Governor.

Let them keep building her up. Let them keep raising expectations. The proof is in the pudding, and the more people listen to her, the less comfortable they're going to be with the idea of her becoming President if McCain dies.

31. This morning's Public Radio show ended with Palin's governor acceptance speech...
.... instead of a portion of Obama's. Leaving us with a lasting thought of her as VP instead of him as President.

I was half asleep and didn't realize it was the end of the show and then it dawned on me what happened. That got me out of bed roaring ticked off.

and then flew home! That's cool!"

Setting aside the obvious fact that David Gregory's head gets wedged further up McCain's wrinkly ass every day, he put this out there on MTP. So now it'll be interesting to see if any other media pundit decides to use this instance of unbelievably poor judgement as a way to praise Palin and, if so, what women will have to say about it.
