The Edwards Baby ~~ The Palin Baby

It's about lying and hypocrisy. The following are remarks in regard to a thread I read that basically said that maybe some of us on the DU are treating the Edwards situation and the Palin situation differently because one is a Dem and one is a Pubbie.

I could give a shit ~~ not even a small one ~~ if Edwards fathered a baby with some mistress except for the pain it caused Elizabeth and his family. That latter effect causes me a great deal of sadness. However, as to approving and/or disapproving of his morals ~~ that is none of my business. I just do not like the lying about it and pretending to be something he was not.

Same goes for Palin and whether this baby she was suppose to have had really belongs to her unwed 16 year old daughter. I could not care less if that is really her grandchild and not her child. Sad to me, tho, that Palin pushed that "abstinence only" bullshit onto her daughter and the kid got pregnant. If this is what happened, then lying about it does not change the outcome. This is an issue of parental stupidity and not a judgment on morals...and she should admit that "AO" does NOT work.

Again: It's the BS associated with all of this if both these two "family values" candidates are spewing their superior moral shit in public and covering up the truth that would and does make them look like a person with less than great "family values."

I really do not see any difference between hypocrisy that comes from the left or the right. It is the same offensive conduct no matter what.

The hypocrisy never ends, and all signs point to it being her daughter's child. Her freak politics would force every female to carry every fetus to term. She and her hellacious running mate are beneath contempt

...IMO, she got her daughter were her daughter ended up ~~ assuming it is the daughter's child. It's the total bullshit about Abstinance Only. It was a mistake for her to think her 16 year old would just say NO to sex. That kind of parental thinking evidences a basic lack of good judgment in general.

...is that both of them lied about innocent babies for their own political/personal advantage.
