President Reactive or President Reflective?
I realize that Americans aren't big on reflection as a positive attribute for a candidate. Being reflective and thoughtful isn't "sexy" or headline grabbing. Being a so-called "maverick" is.

But I want a reflective president. It's a big deal quality for me. And I do think that the contrast between McCain and Obama regarding this tempermental and intellectual, can be effectively made. Obama is someone who thinks things over, who ponders and questions and listens. McCain is someone who reacts. And the latter is extemely dangerous.

I know that reflective can also lead to overly cautious, but heaven knows, that's far preferable to the type of reactive, impulsive "thinking" that characterizes McCain.

1. I would infinitely rather have a reflective leader.
Especially in a world with nukes in it.

Unfortunately, as I just said in an another post, some people regard a reactive leader as 'strong' and 'decisive' and a reflective one as 'weak' and a 'flip-flopper'. Some voters prefer a leader who makes swift and 'tough' decisions, even if these are the wrong decisions, to one who thinks before acting, which gets spun as 'doesn't know what to do'.

A very dangerous attitude IMO!
