She seems like a nice lady and a good mother.
And by no means anywhere near qualified enough to be the second most powerful person in the country.

1.  A nice lady that hates polar bears and approves shooting wolves from helicopters.
That's not my definition of a nice lady. She's not a woman I'd associate myself with.

2. She hates polar bears, does she?
Well...if things keep going the way they are going, she won't have to worry about polar bears anymore. There won't be any.

6. She sued the Bush Admin. to take them off the endangered species list...
so she can drill the shit out of Alaska.

19. Now that's information we can use
When the polar bear population is in the most danger, she's putting it in more danger for a barrel of oil.

4. Surely, not a person who has any business being in power.
She's not the antichrist incarnate. She also has no place as VP.

5. "Shooting wolves from helicopters"
What a fucking coward. Seriously. This is NOT the kind of woman that we want in the history books as the first female VP. Ick.

7. Well, to be honest I used to think Barbara Bush was a "nice lady"
Edited on Fri Aug-29-08 02:11 PM by PeterU
Until she opened her yapper and showed her true self. So I might be wrong again.

I did not know about the polar bear/wolves things. Yikes! That's like a Floridian saying they want to harpoon manatees!

14. she's mean, she is vindictive and she is radical. she is also being
investigated for trying to use her office to even a personal score. in short, she's repug through and through.

3. That's all the GOP wants to you know: she's an ordinary "hockey mom".
Edited on Fri Aug-29-08 02:06 PM by Lorentz
Not one of those "elitists" like Obama. Someone you'd like to have a beer with, you know. That's the qualification for office, insofar as they think Americans are concerned. McCain didn't cut it like Bush did, so they went for a VP who did.

8. I love polar bears
and I'm sorry, but the environment matters to me.

She is not a nice person and I'm tired of feeling like I have to lie about these things. A nice person doesn't shoot a defenseless animal from a helicopter.

That's unspeakably horrid.

I heart Polar Bears, not Beauty Queens

11. A nice lady and a good mother who is going to abandon a 4 month old baby with Downs syndrom to
nannies? Sorry, but Vice president is not a figuration job, and there is no chance she is going to be able to spend a lot of time with this kid, let alone if she become president.

12. and should Edwards have dropped out when Elizabeth got sick?
(Obviously he should've dropped out, but for other reasons).

The sudden demand that women be stay at home moms here is perplexing to say the least.

18. Try to raise a child with developmental delay and then come and talk to me.
Because there is no way she can spend enough time to help this kid as VP (and I would say the same thing if her husband was nominated VP).

16. I am not for stay at home moms, I am a mom of 2 who worked all her life. However, I know that
babies's development depends of the time and attention of people around them, and it is even more true for kids with developmental delays. (and do not talk about Edwards, because it is not exactly an example).

21. So if the baby didn't have Down's you'd take the same position?
That she shouldn't be running for VP?

Or is it only because the child has Down's?
