If you have parents who bury their heads in the sand and insist you are a good little girl who won't "do it" until you have a wedding ring on your finger, then yes. That smacks of parental irresponsibility.

However, even good parents who do the right things and talk with their kids honestly and are involved in their lives sometimes wind up as premature grandparents. It happens, and it can happen even when the teenager has responsible parents.
