Yeah its about change, yeah its about clearing the stench in Washington. And when elected, change will occur.

But what kind of change are we talking about?

Well, to tell the truth, it won't be earth shattering, revolution-style, utopia issuing change. Iraq will still be a problem, the economy will still suck, fossil fuels will be the bane of our existance, and the Republicans will still be there throwing monkey wrenches around. Anybody who thinks that, over night, change will come needs to put down the joint and come back to reality.

There's a lot broken in America and its going to take a lot of work to fix it. That work takes time and effort, 36 million hands of effort to be sure. And in the work, change will come. I won't be fast, it won't be mind-blowing, and we may even miss some of the change happening while we are working, and in the end will have to look back and see the end product to notice that change happened at all. It will be ugly at times, it will be dark and disturbing at times as the agents of "same" will fight to the last as the corner, wounded beasts they are. And it will look, sometimes, that we're going backwards before we go forwards. But if we work hard enough, we will go forward.

That's what "change" means, I just wanted to be clear about that.

1. If we give Barak a veto proof Congress, change will happen sooner.
Look at how much damage can be done in 8 years, 6 of which were controlled by the repukes.

2. Yeah, but i'm not going to hold my breath for that.
I don't think America is ready to sweep and African American into the White House while throwing the bums out in the Senate and Congress.

I just don't see that happening. I think we'll build on our very small lead now, but not by much.

But then, who knows? Maybe I'm wrong and it will be a total rout, I've been wrong before.

5. I'm just saying my peice about what change means
I've gotten the sense that the MSM is trying to bill Obama as an agent of rapid, radical change, which will dash a lot of hopes if people believe it. Especially the young working on this campaign that don't know any better.

So I'm not jumping the gun, just trying to get people to understand what they are working for right now.

From tax cuts for the rich to taxing the rich. From sanctioning torture to condemning it. Etcetera.
