What happened? What did Hillary do?
Edited on Wed Aug-27-08 05:59 PM by Canuckistanian
I think I have the basic idea, but the posts here are understandably limited because of the emotional rush.

How did it happen?

(Jeez, I step out for a few hours and I miss everything!)

1. When it came to NY for the roll call
Hillary asked that the roll call be suspended and Obama be nominated by acclamation.

Then Pelosi asked all in favor to say aye, to a HUGE roar, and it was done :)

First, Illinois yielded, then when they got to New Mexico, THEY yielded to Illinois, then Illinois yielded to New York. :D

2. New Mexico passed to Illinois, which passed to NY --
Hillary put forth that Obama be named the Dem nominee. It was pretty emotional -- hope you get a chance to see it.

18. Indeed...
I couldn't agree more. Especially about those bastards ruining our country... but now it's our job to take it back and try to repair the damage they've done over the past 8 years.

After today I think we're up to that task, no question. :D

8. she came out
with her NY entourage, and just as she was about to ask for suspension, perry logan charged her with a machete. Hillary then Kung-Fu'ed him in the nuts, and Obama is now our nominee.

She kicked ass out in the Bush though. We were looking at results today. She took Bethel 2 to 1, three of the six districts in Fairbanks, Barrow, Nome, Sitka, Copper Center, several of the other communities off the road system. She even took Elmendorf. It was Anchorage and Juneau that did her in.

Diane will keep fighting for the issues she feels so strongly about, though. I still see a bright political future ahead for her, maybe just not in the position that we had hoped.

Edited on Wed Aug-27-08 10:56 PM by Blue_In_AK
He got more votes than Mark did in this primary, but by the time November rolls around the trial will either be over or in process, and that's gotta hurt. My husband just heard on the news that Don Young and Sean Parnell probably won't be resolved for a couple of weeks until after all the absentee and questioned ballots are counted. If it's close there will no doubt be a recount. It's incredible that those two crooked old bastards, Ted Stevens and Don Young, are even in the running.

It doesn't take much to incite a panic at this site.

But anyway, I knew Hillary was going to do things in a classy way to bring the party together. I've always KNOWN that she's not as evil as many of my fellow DUers make her out to be.

Bill Clinton is a good man, too!

And I give her credit for doing her best to re-unify the party. That doesn't mean I have completely forgotten what happened this season. I don't have to love her to appreciate that she has done a classy thing.
