Subliminal Message, or Stupidity?
John McCain has a new theme song courtesy of John Rich from Big and Rich. The name of the song is Raising McCain. Now, Mr. Rich says that the song was inspired by a saying they have down in the south, raising cain. Here is what John Rich believes raising cain means. . .

"...which down in the south and in Texas, we call it raising cane when you're excited about something and you're making a lot of noise about it."

http://transcripts.cnn.com/TRANSCRIPTS/0808/26/lkl.01.h...

Now, I don't think Mr. Rich is very familiar with where this phrase originated from, or any of the people in McCain's camp for that matter. This reference dates back to a story from Genesis, when Cain killed Abel. To raise Cain, means to raise Hell, cause trouble, create a disturbance. For God fearin' folks they sure don't know their Bible stories.

I say we bury McCain!

3. Just another stike against McCain for them.
They already don't like him, hence the Huckabee non-sense.

Maybe they will just sit this one out? Please God!

4. this is what the good ol' boys do in texas. raise a little cain when they're excited about something
make a lot of noise about it, cause a ruckus, git drunk, drive drunk, honk horns, knock over a mailbox or three, and say, "awww, we're jess havin' PHUN!" when anyone complains about it.

like the man said, raisin' cain.

5. but
that is not what it actually means, and I find it quite funny. The party of the evangelicals has a theme song for a candidate that they are not excited about anyhow that makes reference to the first murder. It is comical that no one caught this before they made it official.

6. what is more- Cain killed his brother out of envy- he was
jealous of his brothers 'goodness'.- and he was impulsive, explosive, and arrogant.

"mcCAIN" is more fitting than he knows.
