Why does MSNBC keep Pat Buchanan?
Edited on Wed Aug-27-08 01:32 PM by Blue_Roses
I think they need to retire him. He is so out of touch and last night it actually sounded like his dentures were slipping out of his mouth.

This morning I flipped on the tube while getting ready and low and behold, who was on AGAIN--Yes, PAT! And if that wasn't enough, he and Scarb were hacking up "Hillary furballs"...:eyes:

These guys are REELING with envy that not only was Hillary's speech great, but that our party is united. I couldn't help but think that it's gonna get worse since they will do anything to try to tear the Dems apart. That's all this is. In the process, they look like sour grapes--I say GET RID OF THEM!

1. It's kind of like keeping the loser around for your own amusement.
He doesn't get you're sitting there laughing at him, making a fool out of him, so he continues doing what he's doing.

8. Joe and Pat
two of the biggest jerks on MSNBC. They don't even try to hide their bigotry and hate for the Dems. They should go to FOX!

Patsy is nutty but he's much more civil.

I watch MSNBC all the time, and I haven't seen the little puke around lately. Did they finally get rid of him?

He's still around, but his appearances are very rare, thank god. Maybe he's writing a book or something.

Says outrageous things, pisses people off and generally creates discord, in other words, just what they are looking for on "let's yell at each other" tv news.

13. I was so greatful for Pat Buchanon after the Hillary speech....
....that panel he sits with was all debating whether or not democrats were united before the Hillary speech. After the Hillary speech all of them except Pat B. agreed that the party was one and Hillary hit a homerun. If anything Pat just showed the stupidity of this horrid talking point and actually made us look better!

even Norah O'Donnell was on his case. He knew he looked like an idiot trying to spew shit. Rachel and him do crack me up though. :) Rachel is miles over his head and he doesn't even realize when he's been bamboozled by her:rofl:

Like 'Are you on drugs"?

It was the only pundit thing worth watching last night. Ms. T alerted me to it and it made me LMAO.

15. I seriously don't have a problem with him ...
Look, in an IDEAL world, you have COMPLETELY impartial and unbiased JOURNALISTS with a BALANCE of identified partisan voices advocating for their agenda. It isn't his fault the corporate media stacks 5-1 identified "conservatives" to identified "liberals" AND 90 percent of the supposed "journalist" are republican teet sucking whores.

He WILL and HAS on a lot of occassions disagreed with some of the hairbrained positions the Rs take, and when he gets called on it, he cracks a smile when he is in BS mode. I think the man has enough of a REAL background and did run for president, so I think he has EARNED the right to speak for the party.

I just view him differently than the never ending string of Becks/Hannities who have turned a MIGHTY fine buck playing the conservative crowd, and the never ending string of bobbleheaded blondes and otherwise nonaccomplished putzes who they call "strategists."

He was also a Nazi History Revisionist in his latest book
and was called out by Historians and Scholars.

He earned the right to speak for his party

what a disgusting piece of writing. I can't believe he actually said that for all to see, but then, I guess I shouldn't be surprised since this is Pat Buchanan we are talking about.

27. I agree with you
I get so tired of "talking points" conservatives and that isn't Pat. He says what he really believes and if he disagrees with his party, he is very outspoken. I would rather listen to him than Tucker Carlson, Brad Blakeman, Sean Hannity, etc.

I don't agree with Pat on most things, but I have been shocked at the times when I do.

and whatever set he's on at the moment comes crashing down. They hired Rachel Maddow to hasten his arrival, no one can piss off Buch better than she.

It's cruel, really--but I can't wait!

so keeping him on MSNBC, where he clearly comes off as the crazy right winger diminishes any vitriol he spews.
