The one thing I can say from watching MSNBC last night...
Chris Matthews was in a foul mood. He even snapped at Keith a few times, I wonder what pissed him off so bad.

5. Right. Forgot about that......
...might not be feeling quite himself.....combined with the thinner air, lack of sleep, and that obnoxious train whistle....

3. I think pehaps he realizes that he's being marginalized
Edited on Wed Aug-27-08 01:11 PM by Cronus Protagonist
His right-wing adoration and man-crushes on Republicans doesn't play well at the Democratic convention, and KO is calling him and everyone else to task when they bloviate, which must be pissing him off no end.

7. He has looked tired, but he has been real short with nearly everyone.
if he was sick and had a respiratory problem, the thinner air may not be good for him.

4. He looks tired
Rachel looks tired too. She has dark circles under her eyes and she's been a little more animated on the panel.

6. They all seem on edge/cranky. Chris has been fairly complimentary to Dems lately.
I've been checking if hell had frozen over.

11. From what I've read many times
Edited on Wed Aug-27-08 01:20 PM by peaches2003
he and KO are not exactly friendly and I don't think he likes sharing the anchor desk with him. I remember him having an attitude towards Keith during the primaries, too. MSNBC really is missing Tim Russert. Anytime they have Norah O'Donnell moderating the outside panel you know there is a problem. They ought to put Chris outside with tha panel and move Rachel to the head desk with Keith.

There's been a number of problems between the MSNBC pundits- not a happy group. Joe Scarborough has gotten into it with Keith and with David Schuster, though I'm glad to see both of them put Joe down. :spank:

12. Mathews got caught claiming Madow's analysis as his own
He was going on about his thoughts on the PUMA holdouts ... at one point he looked off camera, probably at the producer who asked him to wrap it up, and he said "no, I'm going to finish this". Then Keith interjected that the "theory" he just presented was actually proposed earlier by Rachel Madow and Michelle Bernard. That pissed Mathews off and he snapped at Olberman. Weird.
