Wasserman-Schultz To Give Seconding Speech
U.S. Rep. Debbie Wasserman-Schultz will give a seconding speech for Barack Obama on the floor of the Democratic National Convention tonight.

She supported Hillary Clinton in the primaries, but then became active in seeking to win over women and South Florida Jewish voters for Obama. She’ll be one of four seconding speeches.

With Wasserman-Schultz added, it will be a big day for Floridians on the podium of the convention today—a total of four speakers.

1. She was a big supporter of Hillary in the primaries, so
this is very, very important.

I think it is a bit sad that we have to play this game, but it is what it is.

the Florida fiasco--but she's been very helpful of late to Obama. That's what I expect from elected officials of our party--sheer professionalism, and a willingness to advance the party, no matter what personal loyalties come into play.
