What planet are you on?

Do you support the rhetoric that is the same whether coming from CNN or Common Dreams? Is Kerry just like Gore? Is he waiting too long to attack? Has he not taken the gloves off? Did he waste an opportunity to speak on the Daily Show?

I see nothing of the sort. I see (what few clips the media allows us) what Kerry really looks like and what he really says. Not this brainwashed shit (half of which is not coming from our friends.)

Kerry took it to the President of the United States yesterday in the form of a very honest and very attacking Max Cleland. To his fucking ranch!!! Did you see Al Gore do anything so bold? EVER? No, Gore only got bold after he lost, circa oh 2004.

Have you seen Kerry in person? Have you seen him or are you just shouting off your mouth? Have you seen the real passion of those that are supporters and not just detractors?

Did you see the clips of Kerry very boldly calling Bush a FLIP FLOPPER today, not funding No Child Left Behind, not supporting the 9/11 commission etc.?

Did you see him challenge the President to debate every week?

Have you seen those that defend him and defend with language that is aggresive and darn right harsh? Tad Devine and others.

Did you see him call the President what he is clearly, stubborn, on the Daily Show?

This man is working hard to end the BushCo nightmare.

2. Here's a tip
If you say it as "bush sucks" it means you really think it's not true. And your little flip answer was another clue.

4. Thanks for another flip answer
Some of us don't see what you see. I guess that makes us "demagogogues". All I see around here today is people pissing and moaning with the same impressions that I see pundits give on cable, and a swift boat load of freepers.

I don't know what more Kerry can do except be someone else. (IF he were only Clinton, or Dean or Kuchinch)

If I saw something supprortable in the criticism, but honestly, I don't. Today this place is CNN lite, if you like that sort of thing.

11. some of us are not and that is not flip
it is the truth. Some of us question everything and are not inclined to automatically praise that which we see as not the truth.

There is nothing wrong with it-- is there?

5. I'm with you
A local Repuke City Councillor challenged me last week that no one he knows who supports Kerry likes him. They just hate Bush.

I said I love Kerry. A man that would have the physical courage to go to war and have the moral courage to denounce it publicly when he got home has all my admiration. In the Senate he has been a stalwart for working folks.

He has stood up to the bullies in congress for decades. As Max Cleland said at the convention, he's been my hero long before I met him. If he can just write the final chapter to his political life by defeating the worst President in American history, and go on to put this country back on the track of Peace and Prosperity at home, and Respect abroad, he'll prove my devotion to him worth while.

Finally, I said, does that answer your question Councillor?

I can't say in the primaries I was supporting Kerry... however...since it was known he was the candidate, I have looked at him closer and I really think he is a good man. I respect his views..even though I don't agree with everything he says. I have saw him in person and he came across as a sincere and intelligent person. Yes... I would have voted for a rock if that was the only choice we had to defeat * ... but we have Kerry and I think he will make an excellent President...:toast:

6. I'm with you
Cleland in Crawford was a defining moment, I've never seen anything like it. I don't care if Dana Milbank called it a "farce," that just means that Milbank lost what little credibility he had.

7. I only saw a tiny clip about the flip-flop comments,
and they cut away without properly showing what Sen. Kerry said; could you please tell me WHAT he said? I'll never get it from the press.
I've been boycotting CNN and it's made me much calmer - it's easier to understand what you're talking about without the press screaming in your ear. :-)

I think Kerry turned his boat around and is currently hunting down his attackers, and is ramming it to the Bushes, so to speak. I think he's doing great!!!

My planet is Earth. sigh.

12. I've hated the media since the early days of Clinton.
For eight years, on CNN, I listened to PROFESSIONAL REPUBLICAN women snipe at Hillary, say Bill Clinton wasn't the President, that women should lose the right to vote. I watched Leslie Blitzer question EVERY WORD Bill Clinton ever uttered, Tweety act like a consensual affair was the absolute worst thing that had ever happened in America - they are ALL the enemy.
And then, I get phone calls from friends asking why doesn't Kerry do anything about the attacks....and I won't watch CNN anymore at all - I've joined the boycott. I don't think they're just lazy either - it's 'the talking point'...they're not lazy - they're the enemy too.

15. I don't have cable... however... I watch PBS.... they seem to give each
candidate more time...they showed the "flip-flop" rebuttal today and I thought it was effective. I of course can't watch the Daily Show either...but... the Comedy Central web site has an 8 minute clip of the show with Kerry on it. They also will be showing a part 2 of the interview...hopefully in the very near future.

13. Kerry waited two weeks to go on the attack, that was too long.
If you don't agree, that's your opinion.

Kerry waited to see polls before deciding to really fight back.

Kerry is supposed to have a "rapid response" and two weeks is anything but rapid.

16. I honestly don't think the polls had anything to do with it
I think it was more complicated than that. From McCain dennouncing the ads, to asking them to be removed, to ratching up every day with more and more revelations about how clearly false they ads were and those spouting their opinions contradicting previous opinions, to the links to the Bush campagain.

Again, I think it's your perception of him as doing nothing for two weeks when clearly they have been working behind the scenes from day one to being upfront this last week in the most combative way.

I suppose I could take the time to document every step, but honestly, if your belief is that Kerry is weak or behind the curve, or merely following polls, then all my links wouldn't change your mind. If it's about personality versus actions, then that is clearly subjective.

17. Yeah, Fuck Having A Well Coordinated & SUSTAINED Effort
to debunk this crap and shine a light on Junior/Rove tactics.

Kerry needed to just shoot his mouth off and the Media would have adored him and chastised Bush.

Right?
