I just heard on Thom Hartmann that Fox is supplying most of the video feed for the Convention
This means that all the cutaway shots seen on most channels, for instance, are chosen by Fox. And an inordinate number of delegate shots, during Michelle's speech for example, were of people appearing distratcted or bored or talking to others, and that 80% of the people shown in the audience are black and Latino.

I am watching the Convention on ONLY C-Span, so I don't know if I'm seeing the Fox feed or not (hope not). I didn't notice this trend last night but, I'm wondering, did you pick up on this while watching the speeches last night? Did it leave a really bad impression?

Fox will be supplying the feed throughout the convention, by the way, to our dismay.

7. They do for speakers and events but there's a big difference between what CSPAN shows
They might have other cameras in house to use for in-between speakers, etc. The main thing that I see is that when a speaker is on, they use the Fox feed of the speaker and thus rely on their camera work which is suspect at this point. When the speaker is finished, the networks generally cut to a talking head - whereas CSPAN stays with the feed of the floor and other areas inside the arena which obviously isn't as carefully scripted by the FOX people.

So what the majority of people see is FOX scripted camera work. When most networks cut away for their own fluff coverage, the cameras just randomly pan around, so you'll see much more if you are watching CSPAN.

6. Yeah, I was pretty happy with C-Span, too. If people are noticing bad coverage, they should
let the networks know.

10. their coverage was excellent!
no rambling right-wing goons!

Why would there be a Fox feed at the convention? Doesn't someone check this stuff? What a bizarre irony.

8. that explains why the convention goers on the tube look bored
Fox is picking the feed shots. The commentators are biased also. I could careless what Pat Buchanan thinks.

9. I'm sure, during next week's convention...
most of the conventioneers they show will be minorities, but they will get bored focusing on two people.
