1. I don't think so. The conventions have been largely ignored for a while. nt

2. The "Big Three" only broadcast one hour of the convention per night. I'm watching on PBS.
I don't have cable.

4. Since the ascendance of cable news, the big three networks
generally show it on their affiliated cable news channels. It sucks because it does lock out a lot of people. Some people cannot even get a PBS station without cable or satellite.

9. Well, then obviously you need some aluminum foil! And a metal hanger.
I've only ever lived right in the heart of the Cities or way out in the boonies. I have no idea what it takes to get PBS in the suburbs, sorry.

8. ABC, CBS and NBC are carrying it live at 10:00...
... according to Zap2It and other TV listings.

It's been like this for awhile... one prime-time hour a night. If memory serves, there's a whole West Wing episode about it, starring a pissed-off Toby arguing with network execs. :-)

13. They limited 2004 to a TOTAL of 3hrs. No opening night. They gave 1hr to Clinton.
1hr to Edwards and 1hr to Kerry. That was all.

Kerry got one hour to really introduce himself to the American people after media spent the last 3yrs telling America what a straightshooting, says what he means, stoic leader GWBush is - probably go down as one of the greatest presidents of all time. Can't be beat on the terror issue. And the corpmedia mouthpieces were paid very handsomely by their fascist owners.

She was on the major broadcast channels.

The TV.com listings are wrong.
